Messina Hof hosted the first Tweet world taste-off in January 2010. A panel of professional judges convened at Messina Hof. They were presented several flights of wines. Each flight included one Messina Hof and one other wine. The other wine was from the best region in the world for that variety and in the top wines recommended in each category. One of the flights was our Paulo Blend versus Opus One. The tasters were presented two glasses of wine.

This wine is a rich blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Verdot. It is aged in our finest European oak for one year and one year in our finest American oak.

The wine is dark and rich with warm vanilla and berry flavors. Paulo represents our best Meritage Bordeaux blend.

This win has won Gold Medals at the Tasters Guild International and Lone Star International Wine Competitions, Grapefest People's Tasting Classic, Best of Texas, and was a Champion at the 2004 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
